Health + Safety Protocols

The plan below, coupled with personal responsibility, presents our best efforts to keep our dancers, families, and staff safe. Stay tuned for step-by-step videos and photos outlining everything you need to know about our new Health + Safety Protocols and our new studio procedures!

Feeling ill?

  • Any dancers and staff who have flu-like symptoms within the past 14 days or has had close contact with someone who is suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19 in the past 14 days, should stay home and not attend class or enter the studio

  • In addition, staff will be temperature checked each day when they arrive to the studio

  • Choreography will be posted weekly in your class BAND for any dancers who are absent to review

Classroom Updates

  • Classrooms will be marked with social distancing squares for each dancer’s belongings and personal 6’x6’ dance space

  • Dancers must wash hands when entering the building, and hand sanitizers will be available in all studios

  • Hand sanitizing encouraged when changing dance shoes

Arrival (updated from summer)

  • All dancers will be dropped-off in the front of the studio where they will be greeted by LDA staff

  • Adhere to social distancing dots when waiting to enter the studio

  • Dancers will sanitize their hands upon entry

  • Each dancer will be assigned a spot for their belongings and then will proceed to their personal dance space

  • LDA is currently a dancer-only zone: the waiting room and office are closed, no parents or siblings inside the studio at this time

  • Face coverings are required for entering and exiting, optional during dancing

  • All dancers will be picked up at the front of the studio and monitored by LDA staff

  • Adhere to social distancing dots when waiting to be picked-up

  • Dancers must take all of their belongings home with them each day, including empty water bottles

  • Face coverings are required for entering and exiting, optional during dancing

  • Please arrive dressed and ready for class, with proper attire and hair pulled up before entering the studio

  • Dancers must bring their dance bags in the classroom, and everything must fit inside their dance bag

  • Street shoes will go into their dance bag

  • Each dancer should bring their own water bottle and bring it home with them, please do not throw away water bottles at the studio

  • Water bottles will not be available for purchase at the studio

  • No food will be allowed in studio at this time

  • Belongings will be stored in the studio in a personal space designated for each dancer’s bag

Studio Sanitization

  • Following the CDC Guidance for Cleaning and Disinfecting, each studio will be cleaned and dance equipment and props will be disinfected between each use

  • Staff will frequently clean and disinfect all frequently touched surfaces, restrooms, and equipment throughout the day
